Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Part-time Care Support role for the 12 Hour Night Shift to assist the bedside nursing team with delegated patient care tasks. The position emphasizes safety, accurate documentation, and patient-centered care within a busy hospital environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the care team, reporting changes to RNs, and aiding with activities of daily living while following infection prevention practices and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Must complete Safety Monitor/Patient Sitter competency checklist within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year customer service experience, preferred.
• Direct patient care experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements identified plan through coordination of care with interdisciplinary care team.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary care team to achieve outcomes.
• Obtains verbal report from nurse and communicates patient needs and changes.
• Records data accurately and notifies nurse of condition changes.
• Assists with ambulation, hygiene and ADLs as directed by the nurse.
• Promotes infection prevention and standard precautions.
• Demonstrates caring relationships aligned with compassionate care theory.
• Ensures patient safety and comfort and maintains patient room cleanliness.
