Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA is seeking a part-time Security Officer to monitor and secure the premises, respond to threats, and enforce hospital regulations in line with operation guides.

The role involves patrolling all buildings and grounds on foot, enforcing parking regulations, and assisting law enforcement as needed to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff during the 3rd shift (20 hours per week).

Qualifications

• Neatness and diplomacy skills required.
• Writing skills necessary to file daily and special reports.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to read, write and/or speak English.
• PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigates problems and formulates solutions to improve safety and reduce costs.
• Patrols all buildings and grounds on foot; supports security operations.
• Enforces hospital rules and parking regulations.
• Assists law enforcement and fire personnel as needed on hospital property.
• Responds to Code calls and follows MercyOne North Iowa policies.
