Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Triage Recheck Assistant to join our Emergency Department team at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. You will provide patient care, monitor vital signs, assist with treatments, and support safety and comfort for patients and families.

This part-time night role offers 24 hours per week with 12-hour shifts (7pm–7:30am). Training, CEUs, tuition assistance, and career growth opportunities are available within a large, integrated health system.

Qualifications

• GED or HiSET is required.
• BLS certification required.
• EMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate patient care, obtain vitals, monitor conditions, and report changes to nursing.
• Assist with treatments and procedures, apply dressings, follow hospital protocols.
• Maintain a safe environment, assist mobility, address allergies, provide comfort.
• Support patients and families with compassionate communication.
• Maintain patient logs, manage charts, and deliver documentation to departments.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to support efficient patient care and safety.
