Job summary

Baystate Health seeks a Triage Recheck Assistant to join the Emergency Department at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. You will provide age-appropriate care, monitor patients, and assist with procedures, working closely with physicians and nurses.

The role requires BLS and EMT-B certifications, a GED/HiSET, and a night, part-time schedule with 24 hours per week. Opportunities exist across western Massachusetts and growth within a large system.

Qualifications

• GED or HiSET is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and EMT-B are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate patient care, obtain vital signs, monitor conditions, and report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with treatments and procedures, including dressings.
• Maintain a safe, comfortable environment and assist patient mobility.
• Support patients and families with compassionate communication.
• Maintain patient logs, manage charts, and deliver documents to departments.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to support efficient care and operations.
• Maintain required certifications and attend mandatory training.
