Baystate Health is seeking a Triage Recheck Assistant in the Emergency Department at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. This part-time role (24 hours per week) supports patient care, vital signs monitoring, and clinical tasks within a fast-paced ED team.

Responsibilities include assisting with procedures, maintaining patient logs, and communicating effectively with nurses and physicians. Required GED/HiSET; BLS/EMT-B certifications preferred; schedule includes day shifts and weekend

Formación

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• EMT-B certification preferred or required as per site policies.

Baystate Health is seeking a Triage Recheck Assistant to join our Emergency Department team at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts . Our Emergency Department team provides care to a diverse adult patient population, working closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compassionate, high-quality care.

Triage Recheck Assistant Responsibilities Include:

• Patient Care & Monitoring: Provide age-appropriate care, obtain vital signs, monitor patient conditions, and report changes to nursing staff.
• Clinical Support: Assist with treatments and procedures, including applying sterile and non-sterile dressings, following hospital protocols.
• Patient Safety & Comfort: Maintain a safe environment, assist with patient mobility, address allergies, and provide comfort measures.
• Patient Advocacy: Support patients and families, ensuring compassionate care and effective communication.
• Administrative Support: Maintain patient logs, manage charts, and deliver documentation to appropriate departments.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with nursing staff and colleagues to support efficient patient care and department operations.
• Training & Compliance: Maintain required certifications, attend mandatory training, and follow hospital safety and emergency procedures.

Schedule Details

• Job Type: Part-Time, 24 hours per week
• Shift: Day, 7am-7:30pm
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts
• Weekend Requirement: Every other Friday and Saturday
• Holiday Requirements: Every other Holiday

Note: The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
