Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse for a part-time night shift. The RN will provide comprehensive psychiatric and medical nursing care in collaboration with physicians and the care team.

Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, medication administration, patient education, and documentation within the EMR. A BSN is preferred but not required; BLS is required for employment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the applicable state.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• BSN is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and restores patient health through comprehensive nursing care.
• Performs assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team.
• Educates patients and families about diagnoses and care plans.
• Maintains accurate documentation in EMR.
• Participates in quality improvement and professional development.
