Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, KS is seeking a Registered Nurse for the night shift to provide high-quality patient care in a busy hospital setting. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and adjust care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families on health conditions and self-care strategies.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS certification, and strong teamwork with multidisciplinary staff.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
1+ year acute care hospital experience preferred.
RN licensure and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, and sociocultural factors.
Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly evaluate progress.
Administer medications per physician orders and monitor for adverse reactions.
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies.
Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and ensure clear communication.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information and interventions.
Respond to code situations promptly and help stabilize patients.
