Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse for a part-time night shift at our Shawnee Mission facility in Kansas. The RN provides patient-centered care, nursing assessments, and care coordination across disciplines, while supporting patients and families with education and discharge planning.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate Degree in Nursing and an active RN license in Kansas, with BLS.

Qualifications

RN license in the applicable state (Kansas).
Current BLS certification.
One year of acute care hospital nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Promotes and restores patient health using nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Collaborates with physicians and interprofessional team to deliver patient-centered care.
Administers medications and treatments per orders and policies.
Monitors patient responses and communicates changes to the care team.
Educates patients and families on diagnoses, plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
Maintains accurate documentation in the EMR and participates in quality improvement.
