Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ is seeking a Certified Critical Care Technician for the Surgical Intermediate Care Unit Pavilion 8. This part-time night shift role supports daily living activities and collaborates with the nursing team to ensure safe patient care.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, vital signs, EKGs, and Foley catheter care, with emphasis on education, safety, and adherence to protocols. Weekend/holiday rotation is required for 24 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Successful completion of Patient Care Technician training and active PCT Certification required.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification required.
• CPT, CPCT-A, or ACMA certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and support for the healthcare team.
• Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, point-of-care testing, EKGs and Foley catheter care as directed by RN.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient status to RN and respond with appropriate actions.
• Reinforce education for patients and families about care needs and safety.
• Participate in patient satisfaction initiatives and quality improvement activities.
