Job summary

KIDZ Medical Services is seeking a part-time Newborn Hearing Screening Technician in Boynton Beach, FL. You will screen newborns in hospital nurseries and NICUs, document results, and communicate findings to parents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS/CPR Certification provided upon job offer.
• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to learn and operate hearing screen equipment.
• Open availability including weekends and holidays.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screening in the nursery and NICU prior to discharge and provide screening results to parents.
• Answer general questions and provide written information to parents regarding screening procedures and results.
• Obtain and document consent from parents to conduct screenings.
• Verify infant name, mother’s name, mother’s DOB, insurance, demographics, family history of hearing loss, and pediatrician (if applicable).
• Share copies of result forms with parents and place originals in infant medical records.
• Keep Supervisor informed of operational issues requiring immediate intervention.
• Interact with hospital personnel to maintain effective communication.
• Adhere to HIPAA, PHI, and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform clerical duties as assigned.
• Maintain a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Adhere to Information Security Policies.
