Job summary

Hearing Screening Associates is seeking a part-time Newborn Hearing Screening Technician to perform screenings for newborns at New York Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in New York, NY. You will participate in training and work with NICU and well-baby units, ensuring timely identification of hearing issues and education for families.

The role offers weekend and PRN weekday coverage with an 8 AM start and shifts averaging 4 hours per day, totaling about 8–10 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years of healthcare or childcare training/experience is a plus.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to work independently in a high-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and operate hearing screening equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct newborn hearing screenings in well baby and NICU units prior to discharge.
• Communicate relevance of screening to parents and nursing staff.
• Analyze and respond to routine situations in line with company needs.
• Maintain and operate screening equipment and assist with data entry.
• Interact with hospital departments per policies and procedures.
• Follow training, coding, and safety protocols.
• Perform duties as assigned by supervisors.
