Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based newborn hearing screenings at Longview Regional Medical Center in Longview, TX. You will receive on-the-job training and annual certification accredited by the American Academy of Audiology.

The Lead Hearing Screen Technician serves as a primary resource at designated hospital locations, coordinating screens, educating parents, and ensuring accurate data and timely follow-up.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain.
• Weekend and national holidays availability required.
• 10% travel required (occasional meetings or trainings).

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screenings and provide parent education.
• Assess screen readiness prior to screening.
• Collect data and demographics; document per protocol.
• Upload screen results, billing and state reporting by end of shift.
• Coordinate outpatient referrals for refer babies.
