Job summary

Ensemble Schools is seeking part-time, in-person music instructors for Music House School of Music across Prairie Village, Overland Park and Lenexa, KS. Teachers will offer guitar, voice, piano and drum lessons with primary hours M-Th 3-9pm and Fridays 3-7pm.

Substitute opportunities are available; pay ranges from $24 to $28 per hour, with health benefits options and a 401K with employer match after 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in music education or performance preferred.
• At least 1 year of teaching experience; group teaching a plus.
• Performance experience in both individual and ensemble settings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient using technology including computers and online applications.
• Punctuality, reliable transportation and ability to pass a routine background check.

Responsibilities

• Teach guitar, voice, piano and drums in-person.
• Maintain schedules and communicate with students/parents.
• Assist as substitute teacher when needed; be available to cover deficits.
