Job summary

Ensemble Schools is seeking a part-time voice or voice and piano instructor for Music House School of Music in Lenexa, Overland Park, KS. In-person teaching is required, with evening hours Monday and Thursday 3-9pm.

Prioritize candidates who can teach at multiple locations within Prairie Village, Overland Park, Lenexa. Bachelor's degree preferred; at least 1 year of teaching experience, including group teaching, is ideal.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred in music education or performance.
At least 1 year of teaching experience.
Group teaching experience a plus.
Performance experience in solo and ensemble settings.
Excellent written and spoken communication.
Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to thrive in a fast pace.
Proficient with technology and online applications.
Ability to pass routine background check.

Responsibilities

Teach private lessons and build on student strengths and interests.
Lead group classes using Music House curriculum.
Attend monthly faculty meetings.
Assist with three community events per year (recitals, jam sessions, faculty concerts).
Communicate with parents, fellow faculty, and staff.
Track student attendance and maintain teaching notes.
Sign students up for group and individual performances.
Create and follow lesson plans and teaching guides.
