Job summary

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced drum instructor to teach part-time at Music House School of Music, Prairie Village locations in KS. In-person teaching is required with Wednesday nights between 3-9pm. Experience with group classes is highly beneficial, and pay ranges from $24-$28/hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in music education or performance preferred.
• At least 1 year of teaching experience; group teaching experience a plus.
• Excellent communication skills (writing, speaking, listening).
• Organized, detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with computers, mobile devices and common online applications.

Responsibilities

• Teach private drum lessons building on student strengths and interests.
• Lead group classes using Music House curriculum.
• Attend monthly faculty meetings and assist with community events.
• Communicate with parents, faculty, and staff; track attendance and notes.
• Prepare lesson plans and teaching guides; sign up students for performances.
