Job summary

Central Oregon Community College seeks a Part-Time Instructor of Music to provide instruction in Music courses, direct student discussion, evaluate performance, and may develop curriculum. Teaching may occur in classroom, remote, or online delivery across COCC campuses using Zoom and the LMS.

Ideal candidates have a Master’s degree in Music or graduate credit, plus college teaching experience. The position requires flexibility to teach day or evening classes and travel between COCC locations.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of field of Music based on education and/or experience.
• Knowledge of teaching and instruction of various audiences and group dynamics.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn Zoom and the LMS used at COCC.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in Music courses in classroom, remote, or online delivery using course outcomes.
• Direct student discussion, evaluate performance, and guide progress with conferences.
• Help revise and standardize curricula with department colleagues.
