Job summary

Central Oregon Community College is seeking a Part-Time Instructor for the Computer and Information Systems program. You will provide instruction, lead student discussions, and assess performance across classroom formats, including online and remote delivery.

Responsibilities include maintaining regular office hours, utilizing the LMS and MS Office tools, participating in course assessment, and collaborating with the department chair to ensure course goals are met.

Qualifications

• Degree or credential in primary teaching assignment or 24 quarter hours in field.
• Experience teaching or potential for excellence in teaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction using approved course outcomes; teaching may occur day, evening, weekend, on campus or online.
• Hold at least one office hour per class per week for student help sessions.
• Use LMS and accessibility tools to support teaching activities.
• Participate in course assessment and department goals.
• Teach CIS courses using Canvas and technology tools (e.g., Cengage).
• Collaborate with department chair to meet course goals.
