Job summary

Central Oregon Community College is seeking a Part-Time Instructor for Music (Voice) to provide instruction, develop curriculum, and evaluate student performance. Teaching may occur at campus locations, online, or in a hybrid format.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in Music or relevant graduate credits and teaching experience, with strong communication skills and a commitment to inclusive education. The role is non-benefited and requires occasional travel and varied hours.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Music or related discipline from an accredited institution or 30 quarter hours (20 semester hours) of graduate credit in Music or related discipline.
• At least one year of college teaching experience in the subject area or clear potential for teaching excellence.
• Ability to use technology to enhance instruction and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in Music (Voice) using approved course outcome guides; teaching assignments may be day, evening, weekend, at multiple campuses, online, or remotely.
• Hold at least one scheduled office hour per class per week for student help sessions.
• Utilize the LMS and accessibility software to support teaching activities.
• Participate in course assessment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support program goals.
