Job summary

Central Oregon Community College seeks a Part-Time Instructor in Theatre Arts to deliver instruction across multiple formats, including in-person and online. The role includes directing student discussion and performance activities and evaluating learning outcomes in classroom, rehearsal, and performance settings.

Applicants should possess a Master’s Degree in Theatre or related field, or substantial graduate study, and have expertise in acting, performance, and theatre studies.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Theatre, Drama, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 30 quarter hours (20 semester hours) of graduate credit in Theatre or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in area of discipline using approved course outcome guides.
• Teaching assignments may include day, evening, or weekend classes at COCC campuses, online or remotely.
• Hold at least one scheduled office hour per class per week for student help sessions.
• Participate in course assessment and use data to improve instruction.
• Utilize College tools and resources including LMS and accessibility software to support teaching.
