Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a part-time Music Instructor to teach and lead music classes at multiple corps across Massachusetts. The role involves traveling to assigned locations and delivering group and private lessons under the Divisional Music Department.

Hours are flexible but will not exceed 8 hours per week; compensation ranges from $18.00 to $25.00 per hour, with an expected target around $20.00 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma.
• Experience leading and teaching a music discipline.
• Musical experience or expertise in brass, vocal, guitar, or piano.

Responsibilities

• Teach and lead music classes at Salvation Army corps in Massachusetts.
• Travel to assigned corps to provide group and private music lessons.
• Assist in planning and promoting local music events and performances.
• Prepare musicians for seasonal performances (Christmas/Easter).
• Encourage participation in Divisional music programs and Youth Arts Ministry.
