Job summary

The City of Mesa is hiring two part-time, non-benefited Guest Experience Associates for the Arizona Museum of Natural History (AZMNH). You will assist public patrons with information about activities, programming, and rules, and help encourage participation for individuals and caregivers.

Responsibilities include admissions handling, cash transactions, maintaining records, ensuring gallery safety, cleaning and teardown, and helping with events and exhibit setup.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year of office clerical experience with PC use, word processing, typing.
• 6 months to 1 year of customer service/public contact experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with the general public to provide information on activities and rules; encourage participation for visitors and caregivers.
• Attend exhibit-based training and assist with cleaning, teardown, and maintenance of galleries and activity areas; ensure safety of visitors.
• Handle museum admissions and cash, maintain related records, and secure the gallery; coordinate with education staff for group orientations; assist with events and set-ups.
