Job summary

EHDOC is seeking a Maintenance Person at Mayfield Manor III in Canton, OH for 21 hours per week (Mon/Wed/Thu 7:30am–2:30pm). The role performs routine maintenance, handles plumbing, electrical, painting, and janitorial tasks, and participates in preventative programs while keeping records.

You will respond to requests within 24 hours, join on-call rotations including weekends, follow safety procedures, prepare units for turnover, and maintain grounds and common areas.

Qualifications

• Basic Universal License; may be completed in first year of employment.
• Three (3) years building maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, painting and janitorial work.
• Good verbal and written language skills.
• Experience working with elderly/handicapped populations.

Responsibilities

• Handle routine maintenance projects as scheduled by Supervisor.
• Participate in all preventative maintenance programs and keep records of work performed.
• Respond to maintenance requests within 24 hours or notify supervisor with reason for delay.
• Assist in emergency maintenance and on-call rotations (weekends/holidays).
• Perform electrical/ plumbing/ painting and general maintenance in units and common areas.
• Prepare units for turnover, including painting, cleaning, and repairs.
• Maintain grounds, equipment, and storage areas in safe, organized condition.
