Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Assistant Tech Imaging-MRI for Feinberg Casual Days. This part-time role (16 hrs/wk, 0.4 FTE) supports imaging services, coordinating patient flow and assisting technologists and physicians in MRI procedures.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and CPR (BLS). Strong communication and organizational skills are essential; prior healthcare delivery experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cares for the patient throughout the treatment/procedure according to department and hospital standards of care.
• Prepares procedure rooms and work areas for patients prior to arrival.
• Explains exams and answers basic questions; knows MR Safety if MR assignment.
• Assists technologists, nurses or physicians during exams/procedures.
• Processes CDs and helps coordinate patient care per departmental imaging protocols.
• Retrieves physician orders from EPIC, Chartview, Powerchart and other systems.
• Monitors scheduling to maintain patient flow in imaging areas.
