Job summary

Prestonwood Baptist Church – Plano Campus is seeking a Part-Time Midweek Coordinator to oversee the Midweek ministry, lead training, coordinate volunteers and AWANA, and collaborate with the Communications team on all Midweek communications. This role supports families and children and ensures smooth weekly programs.

The ideal candidate is an active PBC-PC member, comfortable with multitasking, learning church management software, and available Wednesday nights with weekday flexibility.

Qualifications

• Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of PBC-PC.
• Beginner skills with Microsoft Office products.
• Strong communication, both written and oral.
• Knowledge of AWANA program preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a face-paced environment.
• Ability to learn and use church management system.
• Ability to work Wednesday nights with flexibility for weekday shifts.
• Ability to work at a desk with a computer screen for extended periods of time, occasionally perform physical activities that require moving one’s whole body, such as walking, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling a cart, and lifting up to 30 pounds without assistance

Responsibilities

• Oversee Midweek weekly ministry
• Lead Midweek training for PBC-PC
• Recruit, coordinate, and communicate with Midweek parents and /or volunteers
• Oversee communication to volunteers
• Work closely with the Communications department on all Midweek communications
• Prepare Midweek tracker sheets and record participant information weekly
• Ensure volunteer screening processes are followed
• Assist in enhancing and growing the AWANA program
• Coordinate with Children’s staff regarding visitor information and parent involvement
• Work closely with Children’s staff on any ministry needs
• Oversee and lead AWANA awards ceremony
• Other duties as assigned
