MERIEUX NUTRISCIENCES is seeking a part-time Microbiology Technician in Allentown, PA to prepare samples, record results, and support pathogen testing procedures. The role emphasizes accurate measurement, careful labeling, and maintaining strict lab safety and cleanliness standards.

You'll work evenings or Monday–Friday 4PM–9:30PM with a focus on sample prep, plating, incubation, and data entry in the LIMS.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma and 1+ year relevant work in a lab or similar setting.
• Basic knowledge of science to accurately perform testing procedures and obtain results.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and basic PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis by recording, weighing, and blending.
• Pipette sample solution into tubes or plates per procedure.
• Incubate plates at specified time and temperature.
• Maintain documentation and track client/sample numbers.
• Ensure clean and sanitized work areas and equipment.
• Support laboratory quality and continuous improvement processes.
• Follow safety policies and participate in cleaning schedules.
