Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Retail Merchandise Manager in Rockaway, NJ to drive merchandising and operational execution across the store.

You will oversee inventory routines, planogram sets, pricing integrity, and promotional execution while leading a team to deliver outstanding customer service. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of retail leadership experience, strong organizational skills, and a focus on operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience leading merchandising and store operations.
• Strong ability to coach and develop team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in enforcing SOPs and company programs.
• Ensure policy execution and adherence to standards across the store.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership.
• Lead truck execution, unloading, sorting and floor flow of goods.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, replenishment, and in-stock readiness.
• Manage planogram execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Ensure accurate pricing and timely promotions across the store.
• Oversee Ship from Store, RTVs, and ASN receiving processes.
• Maintain store environment, safety, and asset protection practices.
