Job summary

The Michaels Companies is seeking a Merchandise Manager for our DFW-PLANO store in Plano, TX. You will drive merchandising and operational execution, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards to create a customer-ready environment.

In this role you will lead workload planning, manage in-stock and pricing integrity, oversee promotions, and coach team members to deliver exceptional results while maintaining store compliance with SOPs and company programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to lead and coach a team to meet store standards.
• Experience implementing SOPs and company programs.
• Proven ability to manage inventory accuracy and in-stock levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in SOPs and company program adherence.
• Ensure policy execution and accountability for store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership.
• Lead truck execution, unloading, sorting, and merchandise flow.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute Store-In-Stock Optimization routines for in-stock levels.
• Oversee Planogram execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Support a clean, organized store environment and backroom.
• Manage inventory control, product integrity, and stock movement.
• Execute ad sets, price changes, and ship-from-store fulfillment.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with accurate inventory adjustments.
• Manage damages procedures and shrink reduction; train team members.
• Partner in Asset Protection practices.
