Job summary

MultiCare Health System's Auburn Medical Center in Auburn, WA is seeking a part-time Mental Health Technician to join a collaborative, interdisciplinary treatment team. The role focuses on providing a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for psychiatric patients while assisting with basic care and recovery needs.

You will support patient service, collaborate with physicians and clinic staff to ensure outcomes, and document interventions across modalities tailored to each patient.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in human services.
• Nursing Assistant Registered (CNA) required prior to start.
• CPR/BLS and First Aid may be required depending on assignment; certification on site if not already held.
• Able to advocate for ethical and holistic care across diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• You will support the unit through excellent patient customer service and clinic management assistance
• You will collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, front office staff and clinic management to ensure comprehensive health care outcomes
• You will perform a variety of functions within the clinic setting requiring specialized knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds
• You will assist with maintaining a safe and hazard free environment by observing and documenting patient behavior, conducting patient room searches, reporting unsafe conditions and applying appropriate emotional and physical support
• You will provide and document interventions in a variety of modalities individually matched to the needs of each patient
