Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prefer a minimum of two years of college in psychology, social work, mental health or related health fields.
• Experience in dealing with the emotionally disturbed preferred.
• Employees must be in good standing to be considered for internal transfers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers under supervision.
• Monitor patients for verbal/non-verbal cues and de-escalate when needed.
• Report alterations in sensory perceptual images and potential risks to the RN.
• Provide care with attention to safety, rights, comfort and a therapeutic environment.
• Complete documentation related to admissions, discharges and transfers.
