Job summary

Senior Living Residences is seeking a Programming Assistant (Therapeutic Activities) in Canton, MA. You will assist the Program Director in creating, scheduling and implementing therapeutic programs for memory care residents, forming meaningful relationships with residents and families.

This part-time role requires an Associate's or Bachelor's in a related field and 1+ years of experience with elderly populations. Benefits include health insurance, PTO, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with elderly and/or Alzheimer's populations preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and families.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills.

Responsibilities

• Form meaningful relationships with residents and families.
• Help implement and coordinate the balanced daily therapeutic programming schedule for 7 days per week.
• Support with coordination of entertainment including guest lecturers, musicians, and fitness instructors.
• Participate in scheduled outings, ensuring safety of residents on transportation and off-site.
• Assist with support group and educational sessions for families and staff.
• Support with developing monthly newsletter, taking photos, and updating social media.
