Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma and be 18 years or older.
• Preferred Certification in Recreational Therapy.
• Preferred Activities experience.
• Preferred experience working with the elderly in a Long Term Care setting.

Responsibilities

• Activity calendar planning that meet the psychosocial needs of the residents.
• Tracking who attends activities
• Activity Assessments
• Reports back to administration on residents wants/needs
• Makes sure planned activities are organized and supplies are on-site.
• Ensures an exciting and stimulating environment and encourages community involvement.
• Plans individual activity to support all resident needs, especially those in the memory care
