Job summary

Senior Living Residences at Meredith, NH, seeks a Programming Assistant (Therapeutic Activities) to assist the Program Director in creating, scheduling and implementing therapeutic programs for memory care residents. The role emphasizes compassionate, organized programming and engagement.

Temporary day-time position with shifts. Rates start at $19 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package begins on the day of hire, including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, pre-tax

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Education, Social Work, or related field.
• 1+ years experience with elderly and/or Alzheimer's populations.
• Effective communication with residents and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Form meaningful relationships with residents and families.
• Help implement and coordinate the balanced daily therapeutic programming schedule for 7 days per week.
• Support with coordination of entertainment including guest lecturers, musicians, and fitness instructors.
• Participate in scheduled outings, ensuring safety of residents on transportation and off-site.
• Assist with support group and educational sessions for families and staff.
• Support with developing monthly newsletter, taking photos, and updating social media.
