Job summary

Redwood Credit Union is seeking a Part Time Member Service Associate (24 to 25 hours per week) who will perform routine teller work and deliver excellent member service. The role involves cross-selling Credit Union products while supporting branch operations and community engagement.

The ideal candidate will have cash handling experience, strong math basics, and a customer-focused mindset. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and comprehensive benefits in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 6 months experience in retail sales and cash handling.
• Ability to count and balance cash.
• Ability to cross-sell products using a needs-based approach.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule including Saturdays.
• Willingness to learn new products and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speaking.
• Knowledge of basic math and financial products.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional member service to all Members and visitors.
• Explain products and services to meet Members' needs; cross-sell Credit Union offerings.
• Establish basic products and services for Members.
• Provide information to Members’ questions or direct to appropriate department.
• Safeguard Member information and maintain confidentiality.
• Balance cash, checks, and complete transactions accurately.
• Attend departmental meetings and support branch operations.
• Perform opening/closing duties and other assigned tasks.
• Complete orders for forms and supplies; participate in committees.
