Job summary

Northwest Federal Credit Union in Herndon, VA is seeking a Part-Time Branch Member Service Representative to facilitate member transactions and deliver outstanding service. You will identify members’ financial needs and offer suitable Credit Union solutions while meeting sales goals and maintaining policy adherence.

The role requires cash handling experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and availability Monday–Thursday 9AM–5PM, Friday 9AM–6PM, and Saturday 9AM–1PM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in retail sales or customer service with cash handling experience.
• Accuracy and detail orientation.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of NWFCU, Federal and state regulations required by the National Credit Union Association.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and/or with members.
• Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy and to exercise sound judgment, logic and initiative while maintaining member confidentiality.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use standard banking and office equipment and systems; working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work Monday-Thursday 9AM-5PM, Friday 9AM-6PM, and Saturday 9AM-1PM.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate member service transactions and support services to positively impact member experience, sales and service expectations.
• Identify members’ financial needs and suggest appropriate Credit Union solutions.
• Process member financial transactions accurately and efficiently (deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing).
• Provide exceptional member experiences and operational support; resolve escalated requests.
• Collaborate with teams across the organization to improve visibility into the member experience.
• Adhere to NWFCU policies and procedures and regulatory requirements (BSA).
