Job summary

Distinctive Living is seeking a Part-Time Medication Aide for Mira Vie at Forsgate in Monroe, NJ. The role provides medication administration and personal care to residents, under the direction of the Director, Health and Wellness, while adhering to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include following service plans, documenting tasks daily, communicating with medical professionals and families, assisting with meals, and maintaining certifications.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of caregiving experience.
• State HHA certification or CNA license.
• Six months or more supervisory experience in a health-related field.
• Must be able to read physician orders and match to MARs.
• Understanding of medical terminology adequate to pass meds and communicate with medical professionals.

Responsibilities

• Follows the service plans and passes resident medications per physician orders and MAR.
• Documents completion of tasks daily.
• Notes changes in resident condition per local rules and policies.
• Communicates with other Medication Aides about resident needs for consistent quality.
• Participates in meal service, including serving, clearing, and cleaning the dining room.
• Supervises staff during shifts.
• Maintains required certifications and ongoing trainings.
• Complies with HIPAA, OSHA, and Blood Borne Pathogen guidelines.
• Works safely and supports safety initiatives.
