Job summary

Distinctive Living, Mira Vie at Clifton, in Clifton, NJ seeks a part-time Medication Aide with every other weekend shifts. The role focuses on medication administration, personal care, and coordination with health professionals.

All duties are performed under supervision to ensure regulatory compliance and resident well-being. The position involves following service plans, documenting tasks, supporting meal service, and supervising staff when required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of caregiving experience.
• State required HHA certification or CNA license.
• Six months of supervisory experience in a health-related field or longer.
• Must be able to read physician orders and match to MARs.
• Understand medical terminology sufficient to pass medications and communicate with professionals.

Responsibilities

• Follow resident service plans and pass medications per physician orders and MARs.
• Document completion of tasks daily.
• Note changes in condition per local rules and policies.
• Communicate resident needs with other Medication Aides for consistency.
• Assist in meal service including serving, clearing, and dining room cleaning.
• Supervise staff during shifts.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing trainings.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and Blood Borne Pathogen guidelines.
• Support safety initiatives and assist in injury investigations as needed.
