Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital is seeking a part-time Medical Technologist to join the laboratory team. The selected candidate will perform diagnostic tests across chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and blood bank areas, with night shift hours and a 24-hour weekly schedule including every other weekend.

Responsibilities include maintaining quality control, specimens processing, and adherence to STAT priorities.

Responsibilities

• Conduces diagnostic laboratory tests to detect and analyze diseases and medical conditions.
• Operates microscopes, analyzers, and related equipment with precision to provide accurate results.
• Maintains turnaround times and adheres to STAT protocol for urgent specimens.
• Assists with inventory management and quality control procedures.
• Participates in inspections and implements corrective actions as needed.
