Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Medical Laboratory Professional for the IL Central Lab: Microbiology. The role requires 20 hours per week with a 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests within established protocols.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and follows reporting policies.
• Performs calibration and maintenance of instruments; detects and corrects malfunctions.
• Performs quality control and quality assurance for improvement.
• Collects specimens from patients and ensures proper labeling.
• Provides training and technical support to staff; assists in education and protocols.
• Contributes to improving lab procedures and ensures compliance with standards.
