The role involves donor screening, vital signs, charting in the Donor Information System, and coordinating donor compensation; shifts include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Evenings, weekends and holidays work requirement.
• Able to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach.
• Lift up to 5 lbs; may lift materials up to 32 lbs and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, hearing equipment from distance.
• 90% of tasks require prolonged glove wear.
• 1+ years in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors while ensuring donor and team safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors; record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use Donor Information System; prepare donor charts and record-keeping; coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for center process improvements and support approved changes.
• Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
