OrthoArizona is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our physical therapy team in Gilbert, AZ. This part-time role offers a supportive environment, competitive starting pay, and opportunities to advance within a growing practice.

You will be the first contact for patients, manage scheduling, verify insurance, and assist the physical therapy staff to ensure smooth front-desk operations and excellent patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer / patient service.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Working knowledge of computer programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understand/perform training on practice management software.
• Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
• Minimum qualifications: High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Answers phone in prompt, courteous and helpful manner, screening and routing calls; create phone note in EMR.
• Be the 1st point of contact for patients: Greet, Check In, Check Out, and provide excellent service.
• Manage schedule, assist with insurance verification and other physical therapy insurance requirements.
• Support front desk by keeping the area organized and running smoothly.
• Assist in indexing patient documents to the correct patient chart.
• Assist in routing electronic faxes to correct location or uploading to patient chart.
• Assist with other duties as needed during down time.
• All other duties as assigned.
