Job summary

Valor Healthcare is seeking a Medical Office Receptionist for the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Williston, ND. This part-time, per-diem role collaborates with the PACT team to ensure veterans receive timely care and a high-quality patient experience.

Responsibilities include patient check-in/out, appointment scheduling, data entry into VISTA/CPRS, and maintaining compliance with VA guidelines. A strong focus on service to veterans and accurate documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent education.
• Strong computer skills; EMR experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and organization skills.
• At least 1 year of clinical or call center experience preferred.
• Credentialed and in good standing with Veterans Health Administration (VA).
• Current BLS certification; ACLS as specified by VAMC contract.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Energetic and optimistic demeanor.
• Safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administrative support related to patient care.
• Input all patient information into VISTA/CPRS.
• Verify clinical reminders due at visit are completed.
• Check patients in and out of the clinic.
• Schedule clinic appointments.
• Answer phones and relay messages.
• Ensure compliance with OIG, JC, EOC, and lab requirements.
• Aim for excellent clinical outcomes through accurate data entry.
• Provide excellent customer service to veterans, on-site and by phone.
• Participate in outreach events to support enrollment.
• Support patient enrollment and follow-up visits.
• Embrace new clinical or operational initiatives.
