Job summary

Under general supervision, you perform routine and specialized tests, calibrate instruments, monitor quality control, and ensure timely, accurate results while supporting training of new staff and potential charge technologist duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, biology or related sciences preferred; an Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field is required/acceptable.
• Three years of clinical laboratory experience required.
• ASCP or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and specialized laboratory testing per SOPs.
• Correlates laboratory findings with disease states and resolves discrepancies.
• Calibrates instruments and performs maintenance.
• Monitors quality control data and initiates corrective actions.
• Provides orientation and training to new staff; may serve as charge technologist.
