Banner Ogallala Community Hospital in Ogallala, Nebraska is seeking a Medical Lab Technician I for a 24 hour/week, part-time role in the Gen Lab. This role supports waived and non-waived tests under CLIA guidelines and contributes to reliable patient results.

You will collect and process specimens, monitor quality control, calibrate instruments, and assist with inventory and training. Teamwork and clear communication with colleagues and clinicians are essential to quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution or a Bachelor’s degree in chemical or biological science.
• Equivalent laboratory training meeting CLIA regulation 42 CFR 493.1489 or other criteria.
• Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs waived and non-waived tests accurately according to established policies.
• Startup, calibration and quality control of procedures and instrumentation.
• Collects and processes specimens; manages inventory and supplies.
