Job summary

Lake Butler Hospital in North Florida seeks an experienced HIM Medical Coder to join our team. This part-time role starts on-site with potential remote work after demonstrated proficiency.

The coder will assign CPT codes from medical records for billing, ensure proper documentation for charge capture, and stay current with CPT and ICD guidelines. Applicants should have inpatient and outpatient coding experience and Rural Health Clinics exposure, plus ICD-10-CM proficiency and ICD-9/CPT-4

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current ICD-9/CPT-4 and ICD-10-CM/PCS coding certification.
• At least 2 years of inpatient and outpatient medical coding experience.
• Experience in Rural Health Clinics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong computer skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
