The successful candidate will have ICD-10-CM proficiency, CPT guidelines knowledge, and experience with inpatient/outpatient coding, denials review, and accurate charge capture.

Qualifications

• Current ICD-9/CPT-4 coding certification and ICD-10-CM/PCS proficiency.
• 2+ years inpatient and outpatient medical coding experience.
• Experience in Rural Health Clinics.

Responsibilities

• Assign CPT codes from medical records for billing purposes.
• Ensure proper documentation for charge capture and coding accuracy.
• Review, resolve and prevent coding denials.
