Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time role in San Bernardino, CA. Training will be provided and the schedule includes 2/10 (20 hours per week).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant school/program or MA certification by a certifying organization approved by the Medical Board of California required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years’ clinical experience preferred.
• Recent blood draws and injections experience desirable.
• Reproductive/primary health care or abortion experience desirable.
• Bilingual skills may be required and tested if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Back-office MA duties including vitals, injections, and blood draws.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during procedures.
• Record patient histories and coordinate appointments.
• Assist with abortion services and post-procedure care as directed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards.
