Corewell Health is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant at the Southwestern Medical Clinic – Bridgman. You will assist physicians, support patient flow, document in the electronic health record, and prepare exam rooms and equipment.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care and adherence to privacy and safety standards. Responsibilities include clinical support, medication preparation under supervision, and collaboration with the health care team to ensure efficient operations and quality

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on clinical skills, or at least 1 year of direct patient care as MA/LPN/Paramedic/EMT.
• CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CMA) - AAMA 120 Days Or
• CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (CCMA) - NHA 120 Days Or
• CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (NCMA) - NCCT 120 Days Or
• CRT-Medical Assistant, Certified (NRCMA) - NAHP 120 Days Or
• CRT-Medical Assistant, Registered (RMA) - AMT 120 Days
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA 90 Days Or
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC 90 Days

Responsibilities

• Facilitates efficient and effective patient flow including preparing the patient for the visit/admission.
• Assists providers with examinations, procedures and/or treatments by preparing patient and ensuring supplies/equipment are available.
• Prepares, administers and documents medications within scope of practice.
• Performs administrative duties to keep information current and update electronic health records.
• Gathers patient data and communicates needs to licensed team members.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and reports equipment issues.
• Greets patients and families with care and respect; supports privacy and confidentiality.
• Participates in ongoing training and maintains professional competence.
• Supports department policies to promote efficient operations under the Service First philosophy.
