Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Medical Assistant in Bridgman, MI, to support clinical operations under supervision of licensed professionals. You will help with patient flow, prepare supplies, and assist providers with examinations and treatments in line with MA scope of practice.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate EHR records, engaging with patients and families, and ensuring a respectful, confidential care environment while participating in ongoing training and adherence to health

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program OR one year of direct patient care experience as MA/LPN/Paramedic/EMT.
• CMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA/RMA or BLS certification within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates efficient patient flow and prepares patients for visits.
• Maintains and updates electronic health records and related admin tasks.
• Maintains clean and safe work environment and reports equipment issues.
• Greets patients and communicates with families respectfully and coordinates with the health care team.
• Collects, monitors and reports patient data to licensed team members.
• Upholds privacy, confidentiality and security of patient and staff data; adheres to policies.
• Engages in ongoing training to maintain professional competence.
• Assists providers with examinations and procedures and prepares medications within scope.
