Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering excellent patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, and help create a positive healthcare experience.

The role is part-time and includes responsibilities such as welcoming patients, taking histories and vital signs, assisting with exams, administering medications, coordinating care, and supporting disease management programs in Southeast

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited MA program/externship/internship or equivalent.
• Current MA certification or credentials in Michigan preferred.
• CPR certification required or as per state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
• Manage tasks such as test tracking, supply ordering, and scheduling.
