Job summary

Advocate Health’s AMG Westhaven Internal Medicine in Wisconsin is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant (27 hrs/week) to support providers with rooming, vital signs, history, and screenings. You will perform venipuncture, POCT, vaccine administration, and medication reconciliation, while maintaining accurate documentation and patient communication.

Responsibilities include lab duties, EHR navigation, scheduling, referrals, and ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent clinical training per DD214 or EMT.
• 2 years of verifiable full-time Medical Assistant experience if no MA program.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and policies.
• Take vital signs, med reconciliation, medical history, health maintenance, allergy review, screenings.
• Assist provider with procedures and perform venipuncture, specimen collection, and POCT.
• Perform CLIA-waived tests and other diagnostic testing per hospital protocol.
• Administer medications and vaccines following rights of med administration.
• Maintain clean, stocked, safe work environment and effective communication with team.
